The Agricultural University of Tirana, in collaboration with associations of the aromatic and medicinal plants sector, and with the support of RisiAlbania, a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), implemented by Helvetas & Partners Albania for Change and Development, organized a National Conference on the topic: “Development of Technology and Knowledge Transfer in the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Sector in Albania.”

This conference marks an important step towards innovation, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange within the MAP sector in Albania.

For the first time, UBT, in collaboration with the private sector, the Swiss Center of Excellence in Agriculture (Agroscope), and RisiAlbania, have drafted the Compendium of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

The National Compendium of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants provides important knowledge on the cultivation of MAPs, quality management, and market strategies in compliance with international standards, traceability, and sustainable cultivation.
