WORKSHOP: DEALING WITH CLIMATE CHANGE
Faculty of Civil Engineering, Polytechnic University of Tirana together with Helvetas and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation have the pleasure to invite you to the workshop dedicated to Climate Change, taking place on June 21st, 2022 (09.00 AM) at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The workshop is envisaged as a stocktaking space in two fields of climate change. Firstly, it shall explore one side actions and measures undertaken by public and private actors in waste management, a topic that concerns all of us. Although climate change concerns us all the awareness level remains low. This is because the complexity of the topic is high, the onset gradual, some people say even imperceptible.
The second purpose of the workshop therefore will be acquiring a better understanding of global and regional situation and to familiarize with the sixth report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Two authors of the report will highlight hot spots and together we shall explore ways how key findings can lead to more awareness, trigger action but also how climate science can further shape climate and sustainable development work and policies.
