The National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber security is the leading body for improving the ecosystem and enforcement of standards and regulations regarding cybersecurity in Albania.

NAECCS, with the support of RisiAlbania, has invested in increasing capacities of their staff on international standard of information security ISO 27001. In this light, NAECCS organized a tailor-made training to its staff, held during August.

Klorenta Janushi, one of the participants states that the training was very useful in terms of deepening knowledge and hands on experiences. ‘Auditing critical information infrastructures requires skills, knowledge and adequate certification. We managed to achieve this trough this training and the professional expertise of AQS Cert.’

Such developments aim to improve market services and information security. The NAECCS cybersecurity team will be able to better perform their function of monitoring and advising public and private enterprise to invest in cybersecurity in order to detect and prevent cyberattacks towards their critical information infrastructure.  As Saimir Kapllani, participant, testifies ‘We are now able to improve our performance on implementing the law on Cyber Security of Public and Private institutions in defending critical information infrastructures.’
