The first group of 20 career counsellors from 4 Albanian universities are attending a 3-week-long journey to obtain the international certification – Global Career Development Facilitator.

«This training program is an excellent to prepare and equip our staff with professional skills and techniques for helping our students to achieve their career goals,” – said Xhafer Rakipllari, Director of Administration and Academic Services at “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University in Durres, part of this training.

Global Career Development Facilitator is a training and certification program developed to provide international recognition to career development professionals and which promotes life-long-learning philosophy.

Participants in this first training are from University of Tirana, Agricultural University of Tirana, “Aleksander Moisiu” University in Durres and the University College “Luarasi”.

The training supported by RisiAlbania is a great opportunity for creating networks, share experiences and exchange the best practices among participants.  This is the first step RisiAlbania offers to improve career services at universities and it also lays the foundations for the creation of a first group of experts and facilitators of career services for the Albanian market – an indispensable role for the quality employment of youth.

Career counseling is getting more and more attention from higher education institutions in Albania. There is growing awareness about the importance of career guidance services for student orientation in the labor market and in their academic and professional development.
