Young women and men in Albania face enormous challenges orienting and integrating into the labour market. The development of career services and professional provision of these services, to enable a well-informed decision-making is exactly the focus of work done with the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana.

Within one year, 3 researchers of this institution, Dr. Nada Kallçiu, Dr. Livia Nano and Dr. Eralda Zhilla have adapted for the Albanian context three international career instruments, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jerome Rossier, University of Lausanne.

The instruments were presented today during the online workshop, with representatives from various public and private sector stakeholders, who expressed interest in using the materials during their daily operations in youth counseling.

These adapted instruments include:

  1. Personal Globe Inventory (PGI);
  2. Career Decision Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ);
  3. Orientation Demand Analysis (ADOR).

Handbooks are published and available to career counsellors and practitioners. Meanwhile, the researchers of FSS, in collaboration with Prof. Rossier, are in process of publishing scientific articles in prestigeously indexed journals of this field.
