Presentation of the “Estimation of Sectorial Job Multipliers in Albanian Economy” study
Swiss funded project Risi Albania is providing useful insights for projects aiming at creating sustainable jobs progress through the innovative study “Estimation of Sectorial Job Multipliers in Albanian Economy”. RisiAlbania brought together representatives from academia, Albanian government institutions, donor community and developing partners to participate in opening discussions and analysis on ways and practices which can help increase direct and indirect impact in 35 various sectors of the economy. Discussions among participants led not only to the potential use of the indicators ex post, in the sense of estimating overall impact for monitoring and evaluation purposes, but also on the potential use ex ante, for decision making purposes. Expanding Made in Albania essential oil business production
It started as an experiment, sending some samples of essential oil from Albania to the United States in 2010. The success was immediate: these first samples were quickly followed by building an essential oil distillery in Tirana in 2011. Fast-forward to 2018 and MEIA are putting the final touches to another distillery in the Malësi e Madhe district, after having grown their supplier base in Tirana and Saranda. 21 local festivals, 21 tourist destinations to discover in Albania this Summer! “Festa e Traditës” is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, supported by Swiss-funded project Risi Albania. It aims at revitalizing rural areas through the promotion of traditional and cultural values.
