New and improved career services for students

Career centers in Albanian universities are piloting new services and improved ones, to be implemented and offered to their students starting from academic year 2019-2020. Such services include: guidance manuals, employability and soft skills trainings, stronger linkages to business community for increased internship and employment opportunities, Career Fairs, stronger focus on Alumni Network. More than 150 students have already received employability trainings according to Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) standard, which the project has already introduced among the first group of 20 career counselors from 4 Albanian universities. 102 skilled young people working in tourism sector in Lezha

102 young women and men from Lezha and surrounded areas graduated in a special ceremony after successfully completing the training courses on culinary, bartender and waiter, HACCP, ice-cream and pizzeria provided by AA Kurse Formimi Hotelerie with the support of the Swiss Government through RisiAlbania project.  Almost all of them received job offers from businesses working in the tourism sector. Creating jobs through Agribusiness sector development

Unlocking the agribusiness sector potential for growth is key to creating quality employment opportunities for young women and men in Albania. To achieve this, RisiAlbania supports rural businesses to grow, to export to high-value Western Europe markets and to expand their economic activities. The project is working on two fast-growing subsectors: fruits and vegetables, and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs). Risi has supported the launch of 3 new media products (TV and Online) focused on career orientation for young people and their parents in Albania. This support is part of Risi strategy to stimulate media to play an ongoing role in career orientation and employment.
