Albanian medicinal and aromatic plants companies part of the World´s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food, BIOFACH
On February 12-15, 2020 two Albanian medicinal and aromatic plants companies that RisiAlbania project is supporting, BioBes and Bioalba, participated at the BIOFACH 2020 held in Nuremberg, Germany. Supported also by the Swiss SIPPO program and the Albanian Investment Development Agency, AIDA, this year Albania was represented with 5 companies (Albanian Herb, AlbFruit 2005, Bidaj, Bioalba Group, BioBes) in a dedicated stand at the joint Albanian Pavilion, among 110 countries worldwide.
“It was a great opportunity to introduce our model, our farmers and our 100% organic products to the German market and beyond,” said Sokol Stafa, representative of Bioalba. Whereas for Besnik Koci, BioBes representative, participation at this fair served not only to promote Albanian medicinal aromatic plants but it was also a unique opportunity to learn more about the international markets demands and establish new contacts with potential partners.
BIOFACH in its 30th anniversary, represents one the most important business events in the MAPs and organic food sector, with around 4,000 exhibitors this year. BIOFACH is expected to create opportunities for cooperation and outreach in foreign markets for Albanian companies. It promotes Albania as a destination with a great development potential for MAPS and organic products but it is also a good opportunity to enter new markets and assure new contracts with participating companies
Risi Albania in cooperation with AIDA, prepared and distributed during the fair the brochure “Enjoy Bio Albania”, which contains information on the development of the MAP sector in Albania, as well as information and contacts for the 5 companies participating in the fair.
