Job quality diagnostic: How can we understand the quality of job for young women and men in Albania?
The gray area that we need to dig more and the gap that still exists beyond findings.
The focus of the Workshop held on October 19, 2022, was on findings regarding aspects of decent work that include: profit, equality, employability, work environment and employee expectations, in the selected sectors: sustainable tourism, technology of information and communication as well as agribusiness (fruits, vegetables and medicinal and aromatic plants). In order to reflect the employee’s perspective as clearly as possible, more than 100 interviews were conducted representing 3000 employees in these three sectors. A triangular data analysis system was used to identify relevant dimensions of youth work quality in selected sub-sectors in Albania and provided a gap analysis to understand decent work deficits and work opportunities with reference to ILO standards. Discussions between representatives of public and private institutions, trade unions, organizations and experts helped us to have a clearer picture of these aspects.
This workshop was organized by RisiAlbania with the expertise of Eralda Çani Met’hasani & IDRA Research & Consulting and of an international expert on decent employment Matt Ripley.
