The two-day training “Marketing Initiative for Agro-processors” was organized by BiznesAlbania in collaboration with RisiAlbania.  20 business service providers (BSPs) participated.

During the first day of training, an international trainer and two Albanian trainers talked about challenges consultants face when advising their clients, lack of formalization in the relationship between Agro-processors and BSPs, food safety standards etc. Later they focused on opportunities BSPs have and how they can approach clients. On the second part of the session, trainers guided participants on how to conduct company’s diagnostics. The floor was open to discussion, so participants raised different issues, asked questions and gave suggestions on how to better approach clients.

In the second day of training, the Marketing Manager of Carrefour gave useful insights about the criteria a certain product should fulfill to enter their retail store. In addition, she provided participants with information about marketing tools that lead to increased revenue.

After the two days of training, in a two-week period each BSP would contact an agro-processing company to conduct a company diagnostic and prepare the necessary consultancy on marketing services the specific company needs. During this time, Business Albania in close cooperation with RisiAlbania will offer support.
